Ilene Gold
Ilene Gold (she/her) discovered yoga as a college student in 2002, and she’s never looked back. In those early classes, she felt able to “come back home” to herself in ways she had never experienced before. That sense of connection continues to guide and inspire her practice today. Ilene believes yoga is not just a physical practice, but a pathway home to the self, to the breath, and to the quiet wisdom that lives within.
In 2010, Ilene completed a 200-hour Buddhist-inspired teacher training through Dharma Yoga in Austin, TX, as well as a trauma-informed yoga certification through Street Yoga, focusing on bringing yoga to marginalized youth. After moving to Colorado, she earned another 200-hour yoga teacher training at Kindness Yoga in Denver in 2015, deepening her roots in the Denver yoga community.
Now a teacher at The River Yoga, Ilene’s classes are built around thoughtful themes that invite students to explore the deeper layers of their practice both on and off the mat. Through mindful sequencing and intentional pauses, she guides students to listen inward, notice what arises, and meet themselves with curiosity and compassion. In her classes, Ilene creates a warm, inclusive, and sacred space where students can reconnect, release, and return home to themselves, together.
