The Reset Retreat
XINALANI
OCTOBER 17 - 24, 2026
This isn’t just a getaway.
It’s The Reset.
Get ready to take The Reset back to where it all began—the breathtaking shores of Xinalani, Mexico. Nestled between lush jungle and the Pacific Ocean, this sacred space is designed for deep rest, soulful connection, and powerful renewal. Imagine waking to the sound of waves, moving through yoga and breathwork in an open-air shala overlooking the sea, and letting the elements—earth, water, fire, and air—work their quiet magic on your body and spirit.
Here, time slows down. The ocean becomes your soundtrack, the jungle your backdrop, and each moment an invitation to soften, expand, and simply be. Between nourishing meals, ocean dips, hammock naps, and laughter-filled evenings, you’ll rediscover the beauty of presence and the joy of feeling truly alive.

Danielle is the owner of The River Yoga, her hOMe away from home, in Denver, CO. As a teacher, Danielle's classes play with the dance between breath and movement; focus and fun. Her teaching style is nurturing, creative, fluid and approachable. Expect intentional music, integrated breath-work as well as opportunities to move your body in less linear ways.
Danielle has a background in vinyasa and anusara yoga. She is also a certified buti yoga instructor. Danielle is an avid traveler and looks forward to sharing this adventure with you in Mexico.
-
Jennifer offers a sweet, sweaty and soulful vinyasa flow. She is currently living in Northern California and teaches at Love Story Yoga. Her classes are an open invitation to move and breathe from a place of gratitude and love and to connect to body, breath, emotions, and heart. She teaches Bhakti Flow (the yoga of love and devotion) classes, workshops and serves as guest faculty to teacher trainings around the country.
Authentic and compassionate, Jennifer's classes are steeped in the deep roots of Yoga and the tradition of Bhakti but are also totally relevant and accessible to the modern, urban yogi.
What previous guests are saying….
-
“What an amazing week to relax and truly reset. There are no expectations, you can sleep and eat and/or do yoga and go to the spa and nobody makes you feel badly about any of it! There is no shame or guilt in the was Jennifer and Danielle run their retreat or their practices. In addition to yoga, you have the opportunity to meditate or do breath work and it's really wonderful. The food is great and the staff is lovely. I will say September is HOT and you will want bug spray ;)”
-
“I came to the Xinalani without knowing Danielle or Jennifer or anyone attending, trusting the experience to unfold as it should. From the very first practice, it was clear that Danielle and Jennifer were deeply grounded in the true essence of yoga—both in spirit and in skill. Each brought their own unique touch: guiding us through empowering, thoughtfully challenging asana practices, and opening our hearts through Bhakti yoga, weaving in devotion, mantra, and connection. Together, they created a retreat that was both grounding and expansive, both physical and deeply soulful. Every detail—from the classes to the natural rhythm of the days—felt intentional and seamless. It takes courage to surrender to the unknown, and I am so grateful I did. This experience left me feeling deeply connected, nourished, and inspired.”
-
“I joined the retreat at Xilani because a friend had attended a few times. I didn't know what to expect and was so blown away with what was offered. The site was beautiful and the staff were amazing. Jennifer and Danielle were phenomenal leaders and did so with quiet grace and thought. They attract people who are invested in themselves and others around them. It was a thoroughly rewarding week and I cannot say enough about the quality, level of practice and company I am so grateful to have participated and will return.”
-
“I think you two are an AMAZING team!! Your ability to support eachother and us wAs inspiring to me as a teacher AND seeing your feminine strength together from a students perspective made a HUGE impact on me annd my awareness of leadership and love and self awareness/inner strength and calm Thank You for modeling this!! This is how i want to look to MY Students and to those i work with!”
-
“These Reset retreats make me a better person. They knock down resistance I feel to sharing love and peace with others.”
-
“You don't need to be a serious yogi to do this trip, but the yoga and the people who attend are amazing. Location is a good combo of relaxing but also adventurous (arrival and just general remote nature). It is remote but the internet works pretty well--ha! The food is yummers. Don't skip the massage. Staff on the retreat and at the resort are above and beyond. Loved the beauty and simplicity of the rooms. Chef's KISS all around!”
-
“If you’re on the fence because it feels right, but you’re thinking something that’s holding you back, then do your best to put that thought aside, if only for a moment, and just do it. Your heart/intuition knows you better than your head does.”
-
“this week meant so much to me. I had no idea what to expect, and was just overwhelmed by the opportunity to have the gift of time and space and turtles, laughter, delicious food, and incredible yoga”
-
“My only genuine regret is that I waited so long to do something like this for myself. I will continue to take better care of myself. The support from my fellow retreat members and you girls were spectacular and, honestly, a surprise to me. It was surprising only because I have always thought of myself as an introverted relaxer. I know, hee hee!”
-
“Outdoor yoga on a platform in the jungle overlooking the ocean with wise and loving teachers, the other world beauty of nature and culture intersecting, the incredible warmth of the Mexican people, the homemade tortillas rolled right in front of you, the cinnamon coffee, the jagged line of the mountains, the Coffee Detox scrub, the baby humpback whale curved in play….the list does go on, but I will stop here. :-)”
-
“Again - thank you. This has quickly become one of my favorite things to do. With all of the travel and things happening in my life, I look forward most to two trips each year — going home to see my family in the summer and this retreat.”
-
“It's not a vacation, it's a wellness retreat for mind, body and spirit. Make TIME for yourself while you're there, but stay open to the gifts a stranger may bring. While there's a lot of 'grouping' that goes on, don't feel pressured to always engage. Find time to be alone and reflect. Everyone is there for a better committment to self.”
-
“For someone on the fence - Dive in and trust. You won’t regret it.”
-
“This week was life changing for me. It gave me the time, space and resources needed to Fully love on myself, and to help me keep moving forward in my personal growth.”
-
“The week truly meant the world to me. I let the whole experience unravel in real time, did not research, engage or prepare for..I was especially moved by my experiences in breath work and the ice bath because of the profound inner insight/clarity/visits..but the experience of practicing yoga in such sacred visually stunning space will likely be unmatched.”
-
“That you won’t regret the decision! Take the time to connect with yourself and those that also want the time. It brings you together and bonds you. Possibly for life. People come in your life for a reason.”
-
“Loved the personal attention you gave to all during those down moments (being present and engaged in meal times, hanging out etc.) -your authenticity and engagement is sincere and it shows”
-
Loved your different but complimentary styles. Both of you are authentic, smart and engaging as instructors and it comes through how much you truly love people and what you do. Thanks for making it so amazing. “
-
"I love that I was able to slow down and enjoy doing nothing."
-
“"I loved the structure paired with the flexibility. I felt able to push myself physically while also having plenty of time for play, relaxation, and self-care. Also the food and the staff were incredible. And these were the best yoga classes I've ever been to."
-
“The place itself, the rooms were awesome, all the yoga. If we wanted alone time it was very easy to achieve, and we would all come together for group meals."
