Enlightening Minds. Opening Hearts. Empowering Children.

Young Warriors is The River Yoga’s children’s and family program. We offer childcare (Young Warriors Playtime) and children’s yoga and mindful movement classes at our studios and at local schools, as well as yoga camps, birthday parties, and teacher trainings. Our play-based classes, designed with the developing child in mind, instill the benefits of yoga and mindfulness in even the youngest of yogis. In a Young Warriors practice children will feel empowered in their bodies and their minds as they build strength, focus, and friendships. Expect to move, breathe, sing, dance and laugh!

Instructors

Danielle Barbeau Cook

Danielle is a mama, yoga teacher, studio owner and lover of movement. There has never been a time in her life when she wasn’t surrounded by children! Danielle spent many years as a nanny, youth leader, after school program counselor and university advisor. At the young age of 18, Danielle began practicing yoga regularly and quickly discovered that the practice not only complemented her active lifestyle, it helped her get out of her head and feel comfortable in her own skin.

In her classes, Danielle emphasizes breath and creates a nurturing, safe space for students of all ages. Her favorite part about teaching yoga is watching practitioners of all ages tap into the playful spirt and fearlessness we experience in childhood while twisting, bending and flipping upside-down.

Danielle holds teaching certificates from Young Warriors, Rainbow Kids Yoga, and Every Kids Yoga. She is a lead instructor for Young Warriors Children’s Yoga Teacher Trainings and owner of The River Power Vinyasa Yoga in Denver, CO. Danielle regularly teaches classes in studios, school and her living room! She looks forward to being a part of your journey in sharing yoga with children.
