Steve Turetsky

Steven (he/him) discovered yoga in 2011 during his frat boy years of college when he seemingly couldn't have been further from the practice. He loved the centering, introspection, and joy that yoga delivered and it became the catalyst that changed everything about how Steven viewed and interacted with himself, his peers, and the world around him. He moved to Denver in 2014 and has been deepening his connection to the practice ever since. With a crazy work schedule early in his career, there never seemed to be enough space to pursue yoga teaching until the pandemic taught everyone how to slow down and make time.

Steven finally completed his 200-hour Teacher Training in the fall of 2022 at The River. He continued with Deep Stretch training at The River and hopes to continue his yoga education in modalities outside of western vinyasa. Steven also leads Stand-Up Paddleboard and Hiking Yoga classes in Winter Park and loves being able to teach yoga outside!

Outside of the studio, Steven helps build start-ups in emerging industries and has recently been focused on assisting Native American tribes to launch businesses. He enjoys backpacking, skiing, traveling, dancing to live music, gardening, and hanging out with his St. Bernard sidekick, Tova.
